It's unfortunately not trivial and not high on our list. The problem comes with the Z axis. It needs some really fancy math to scale bones correctly based on how things move on the Z axis. In the end it won't be perfect and will take a lot of manual tweaking.
The beauty of 2D is that it is much simpler to animate than 3D, so personally I don't see Spine being able to read mocap data as a very big advantage, but I have been known to be wrong ๐
