Spine won't start after update to 2.1.00

After loading reaches 100% nothing happens and nothing gets logged to the log file:

"Spine.exe" process disappears from the list of processes in task manager. Tried removing update files, prefs file and the whole user's spine directory. After that version 2.1.0 gets downloaded again. loaded and the program just exits.

That's not good. Unfortunately I'm not seeing this problem. I've tried old and new launchers on Windows 7 using Essential, with and without existing prefs.

Is anyone else seeing the problem?

In the meantime I uninstalled Spine, removed all its folders and registry keys that I could find (not sure if it was necessary) downloaded SpineSetup.exe again, reinstalled and it works now. I have no idea what was wrong, but reinstalling the launcher seems to have helped. I didn't think of making backups of previous installations, sorry 🙁

edit: not sure if that helps, but my previous installation was from a version of the SpineSetup.exe file that was 18 965 440 bytes in size, and had md5 of f3c13a616462ff7bc12cb68fe2a5a99e (there's no version info on that file). I still have it, so I can try to go back to that version of the launcher and see if it reproduces the problem.

Ah. Glad it's working! I'll see about fixing it so people don't have to reinstall.

I'm having an issue with 2.1 as well.

They only way to get it to run, is by running the launcher-full.jar file itself, Spine.exe and Spine.com both exit immediately.
This is what the Log file has when I try to run it normally:

I'm not sure whats going on, I've reinstalled several times, and reinstalled java (32-bit) too.

Thanks jimmyb. It seems your problem is different. I'm working on both problems, should have a fix soon!

I've uploaded new Spine launchers for Windows. Can you guys try that? It may fix both problems.
