Blank screen on startup

Afraid I can't help with this one, but I've notified Nate, maybe he knows the cause of it. Have you tried running as administrator?

Strange. Does the trial work? I don't have a WinXP to test on. 🙁 I believe other users are using it fine on WinXP though.

My guess is xfiledialog.dll depends on another lib and the wrong lib is being found in a system directory. Unfortunately it doesn't say which. You could run Dependency Walker on xfiledialog.dll and see if anything stands out:
C:\Program Files\Spine\examples\spineboy.temp\609f4f93\xfiledialog.dll

Actually, the real error may be hidden. I will make a change which may show us the real error in 1.9.02.

Thanks for making the change, does seem to be some issue with what you're mentioning. Wish I was savy enough to know what, fix it myself.

The trial does not work either.

Ran Dependency Walker, there is a huge list of dll files that I don't have, all sorts of junk for windows.

Dependency Walker can be a bit misleading. However, it seems you ran it on Spine.exe but what you want to run it on is xfiledialog.dll:
C:\Program Files\Spine\examples\spineboy\.temp\609f4f93\xfiledialog.dll

While xfiledialog.dll is failing, that alone shouldn't stop Spine from running. What happens when Spine runs? Does it crash and show a dialog asking if you want to submit the error? You say the window is blank? Which window? Does resizing the window help? Maybe post a screenshot of the window?

I can resize the window and move it, max and min it, but no change happens. So I guess it's just a display issue, probably something up with my drivers. They are old, because otherwise it overheats my graphics card. Guess I might just need to deal with it.

You probably need to update your drivers. I've never heard of newer graphics drivers causing a card to overheat :o
