I'm currently working on the Ren'Py integration of Spine:

I was looking for a primary contact to discuss the implementation.
It's a bit difficult to go through alone so if any engineers who have integrated the Spine runtimes with other engines can give stay in contact with me, it'd be helpful.

Currently dynamically loading the static library, and I understand past this point, it's really only Tom who can speak on the rendering engine.
Nobody has really touched this low-level in the engine before so as I ask Tom for clarification, I'd prefer if we had a group chat to speak on the integration together. This also reduces the need for an entirely new python runtime.
I know this is also on the tracker but hasn't been touched in a couple of years. Was there any internal discussion prior on this implementation by the team at any point other than putting it on the roadmap?
