First, about adding a brush for relaxing the mesh, could you please describe in more detail what purpose you would like to use this feature for and in what kind of situation?
Do you often rely on direct mesh deformation? If so, please note that in Spine, direct mesh deformation without using bones is generally not recommended for various reasons. For more information, please see this section of the user guide: https://esotericsoftware.com/spine-keys#Deform-keys
Next, regarding cycles, I would like to let you know that a very useful feature called “Sliders” has been added in 4.3-beta. This feature allows you to loop the playback of a created animation within another animation. You can use it for the cycle of movement of a specific element, such as the example you gave, or you can use it for a whole range of animations involving the movement of various bones, such as walking.
For example, in the following video, a walk animation slider is created, the Loop
option for the slider is enabled, and the walk animation is looped within another animation called move:
